Welcome to Constitutional Carry in Missouri

Starting last night at midnight here in Missouri, we will no longer need a permit for conceal carry......A few questions..

1. What are the laws in your state ? Permit / No permit

2. What's your thoughts on someone carrying a gun without any classroom training ?

3. Do you believe this is the way our forefathers intended the Second Amendment to be ?

New constitutional carry law effective New Year?s Day

1. Permit required. Must be 18 years old, must be a resident for six months, must have some kind of training.
2. No problem with that.
3. Yup

Lucky you guys. Constitutional carry here except in cities and towns.

What kinda training is there, but don't shoot you or yours and the dog? Guns are fairly simple to operate. If you can figure out how a flashlight works, a gun isn't much harder. For those that can't work a flashlight, user manuals come with handguns.

Our forefathers were a bunch of terrorists and anarchist conspiring to over throw the government. They won, so they are all righteous dudes, never cheated on their taxes, lusted after an unmarried woman, or made a smelly poop and forgot to flush, etc...

I've only been a Mo resident for 3 weeks now, moved from Il when I retired.
I have an Il CCL and one from Florida.

Concealed laws in Il are crazy.
You can get a concealed permit to carry a lethal weapon, but not for Pepper spray, mace, stun gun. tazer, or a knife with a blade 3in or longer.
They take more training and a special license according to a state rep.

Carrying a gun without training, I don't particularly care for that.
I believe everyone should have the right to carry if they should desire to.
And I also know criminals will carry and use guns if it is legal or not.
But I also believe people should learn gun safety rules if they intend to carry in public.
Most people have been taught gun safety as kids or in the military, so why not if you want to carry in public.

The classes also teach the state laws concerning CC and the use of deadly force.

Moving to Mo from Il I have found the laws concerning CC and deadly force are different, enough that wife and I are taking the 8 hr class just to get to know Mo laws concerning gun use.

You know I asked 3 simple questions and already have someone calling our forefathers terrorists and questioning another members knowledge of his states laws..

Play nice or I will have Chuck close the thread....Seriously, it's 3 simple freaking questions....

1) Indiana permit needed to CC or Open Carry. Indiana does not separate the two.

2) Indiana does not require gun safety or qualify to obtain a permit. Basically Just dont be a felon and you can have a permit. I am on the fence on this one. I think it would be a great tool to educate newbies but would fear the powers that be would use it as a tool as one step closer to limit gun rights.

3) I do believe this was their vision.

My bad. Remain ignorant as you wish, and even spread the disease on internet gun sites at will.

Concealed carry without a permit is generally allowed outside city, town, or logging camp limits.

Terrorism =
1) Armed rebellion against the established government
2) Domestic Violence to incite fear, rebellion and violence
3) Willful violation of lawful taxation and threat of succession

Of coarse if you don't believe any of this then, you are a freedom fighter and a warrior for something far greater, until you lose... or win....
