Frog lube

Has anyone here used the Froglube Solvent and CLP? How well does it work compared to say my stand by toxic Hoppes. I also hear it's 100% food grade organic ( you could eat it) how well does it lube compared to hoppes gun oil? Thinking about switching to that or Ballistol.

Different process than just clean and lube. Gun needs to be properly cleaned, heated and treated. Otherwise it smells minty and goes good with peanut butter. I used it and can say it works. Just not to a degree that made me want to keep using it. I've been using G96 since the 70's.... its my fall back and been using it religiously since without any problems. Plus smells good also.

The MSDS on G96 is about as bad as Hoppes. Mostly petroleum and mineral spirits. Was looking for a more ECO friendly and safer cleaner lube for the grandkids to start their education on firearms disassembly and cleaning.

How about this? Breakthrough I have been using it on and off for about a year now. I like it works as promised. I still also use Hoppes and Breakfree.

A lot of the military cleaners their coming up with or have been using for a while seem to be more in the eco friendly and non toxic side. I've been using Hoppes for over 46 years, it's my go to solvent and oil.

I was just wondering, us old guys still like something new once in a while.

Me to. They sent me some samples back in the 80's or 90's, and I liked the way that I could clean guns in the kitchen, and the whole house didn't stink of Hoppes.

I've been using Hoppe's for over 65 years and sometimes when I haven't been shooting in a while I'll go downstairs and open the bottle just to get a wiff of it.

I mostly used drug store rubbing alcohol to clean. I as till going lube samples from when I worked the range (from vendors) or from SHOT shows. I mostly us Brownells red oil for years since I have a ton of it. On 1911s I use a syringe to lay a fine line of white grease before the oil in the hot months.

I Use MPro7 too and have been happy though haven't bought any for quite sometime. There copper cleaner does well too.

I still have the Sweets 762! That will ruin nearly any surface!
