We Did It Chuck

Thanks to Chuck, my wife and I signed up for the Free program at the Y.M.C.A, Silver Sneakers today.
I hope we can stay motivated to exercise. Anything will be more than we are getting now.
We have always needed to but didn't seem to have the time but don't have that excuse now.

And well when our insurance pays for it, feel bad about not taking advantage of the nice facility.

Congratulation on joining the Y Arland, if you check out the "Silver Sneakers" program online you will find a ton of fitness centers that will accept it. Insurance and Medicare started offering the program when they finally realized that people that exercise have lower healthcare costs. Go slow and don't expect miracles after the first couple of visits it takes time but it's the best thing you can do. I've had a couple of doctors tell me that the closest they've come to finding the fountain of youth is the gymnasium. If you have any questions feel free to ask away.

SS is a perfect exercise plan/opportunity for me. I visit three facilities in my general area.

Marshall....I don't post personal gun pictures on KT or any site, for any reason. Never have/never will. Taking IP risk is for those that choose to do so, I don't. If you have a problem with that, choose a orifice. End of subject.

And the fact that the insurance pays for it is your motivation. That's what keeps us going. Enjoy it. It will work.

Thanks Chuck. Yeah, we found the SS accepted at a lot of places but all of them didn't have a swimming pool and wife wanted a pool.
This Y is the newest in town, not very far from home, it is over close to the Mall, which really don't matter cause we don't go to the mall. Only down side is most of the time traffic sucks on one of the streets we have to use to get there. Going to give it a go, besides there's nothing on TV.

For myself I found the best time to get there is around 10:00 AM, the morning crowd is gone and I can get my workout in and be out of there before the lunchtime crowd shows up.

Yes, we are working on when we want to go and 10am is looking like it might work for us also. I will agree to exercise but I'm NOT getting up at the butt crack of dawn to do it. Plus want to avoid rush hour morning traffic at all costs.
There is going to be a learning curve, yesterday was the first time either of us had ever even been inside a "Gym."
We left there yesterday about 4:30pm and it was getting more busy by the second. We were both surprised there was a large number of kids coming in with there parents.
