Color me skeptical.
Ok, so he drops his gun. Accidents happen. But then the gun magically fires all by itself. AND the magic gun just happens to be pointed at some lady.

And to top it off, Mr. Butterfingers with the magical gun that goes off by itself and always hits someone, books it out the door. Im' not buying it. Better send the detectives out to dig a little deeper.

Had a similar incident here in Albuquerque a couple of years ago. A guy dropped a handgun in a movie theater, went off and struck another. Would like to know what those guns are, and how they were being carried.

I was thinking the same thing. People who have a reason to leave the scene of an accident usually have something else to hide...For Pete's sake, this wasn't a fender bender the guy just shot someone...

I'm sure more details will follow...How does a gun go off all by itself anyway ?

A girl I went to HS with claims she dropped a rifle on kitchen table discharging and hitting her boyfriend in the head. State police never could get the gun to discharge by dropping it in tests. She was acquited of manslaughter.

If is was a gun drop failure he could have had a case with the gun manuf. but that probably ent out the window when you bail out of the scene
