I've had this tool for a while, works great very helpful, I usually use it here at the kitchen table. Today I thought it broke but it didn't. It was ME! When I got finished working on the pistols I looked at it with some extra light and my good glasses.
I never noticed before but there is a little grey button, under bright light I see it says "LOCK" on it. Sure enough if you squeeze it like your putting a round in and mash that little grey button down it LOCKS. Well HELL wish I could have figured that out earlier.

Am I the only person that didn't know the thing had a LOCK on it?

Little grey button right in the center of pic.

Just went and checked mine. It has the little button. Fancy.

I've had my Maglula for a while, but recently bought another as a stocking stuffer for Mrs. Iron. I don't use mine often, but when I want it, I want it. More and more, it was ending up in her gear bag.

I never noticed either until I was at the range with my neighbor. Her house was broken into and she wanted a gun. I took her the the LGS to buy a gun and I recommended a Maglula/Uplula. We got to the range and I noticed hers was locked closed and looked at mine and sure as hell it had a lock. Now I use that lock all the time.

I knew about it and other to save space, I really have no need to lock it. Don't really understand the point.

I discovered the lock button quite by accident also.

Yep, happened to me also. I pulled mine out of range bag on day and I had apparently locked it when I had last put it away. I thought it was broke so just stuck it back in range bag. When I got home I took it out to see what broke and discovered the lock button.

I have a couple of them. The current ones have the lock button made of the grey plastic but on the first one I ever got it is exactly the same color as the body. Had me going for a while when I first took it out of the package and was trying to figure out how to use it.

Now I have to go look at mine. I almost never use it, but certainly did not know it had any kind of lock on it.

Edit: Found it. Who knew. On mine it is black, same color as the Lula, and just slides up and down to lock or release. I suppose it may have been mentioned in the instructions (did it come with instructions?) but, in typical guy fashion, instructions are only used as a last resort if you can't figure out how to make something work intuitively.
