Unhappy I May Never Be The Same!!

Our dog, Daisy, was diagnosed with spleen, liver and lung cancer on 4/17/2017. In addition, she had lost control of her hind legs due to the tumors and had to be picked up from a laying position. Even if the surgery was successful, the University of Georgia Small Animal Research Center gave a prognosis of six months to live. My wife and I chose not to put her through that. With my wife and I present and us being the last thing she was aware of, she was injected with a sedative and put to sleep. She went peacefully and quietly. I don't think I have ever loved an animal that much!

She provided us with 11 1/2 years of love and pleasure. All of my grandchildren loved her. She will be sorely missed. She was a constant source of pleasure to my mother-in-law during the last 3 years of her life. I hope Mom and Daisy are together again. I may never be the same from the loss of both of them.

Yeah, I'm a sentimental slob. So what? This isn't doing my depression any good at all.

I'm sorry to hear this. I am a dog lover, myself. I have two of the little biscuit thieves, and I dread the day you had to live.

But don't worry, we'll all meet again. Your beloved dog will be there to greet you to heaven.

Also sorry to hear this. They can never be replaced. They give so much and ask for so little in return. Sorry for the loss of your family member.

So sad, very sorry to hear about Daisy. They are easy to love but very hard to let go.

So sorry to hear that about your best friend. Daisey will always be in your heart and no other could replace her but a new lil pup would keep you busy and ease the pain. My dad would always say "no more dogs" every time we lost one. But the ole softy would always let us bring a new one home. Again very sorry.🙁

My condolences on your loss. All dog-lovers dread this day, enjoying every day with our best-friends during these short journeys.

Very sorry to hear this. My wife and I have been through this too many times and will again. I wont say I know how you feel but I know how I felt and would not wish that on anyone.

It never gets better but it does get easier. Hang in there.

Really sorry to hear about Daisy I am just like Nellybelle had a hard time reading about Daisy without tearing up! Do not know if you have other pup dogs there Lineman. If you don't I suggest you find yourself another puppy. It will help relieve your depression. As soon as as I am able to walk better I plan on getting a dog to motivate me to do my walking. Besides I love animals more than humans.
