I May Never Be The Same!!
Our dog, Daisy, was diagnosed with spleen, liver and lung cancer on 4/17/2017. In addition, she had lost control of her hind legs due to the tumors and had to be picked up from a laying position. Even if the surgery was successful, the University of Georgia Small Animal Research Center gave a prognosis of six months to live. My wife and I chose not to put her through that. With my wife and I present and us being the last thing she was aware of, she was injected with a sedative and put to sleep. She went peacefully and quietly. I don't think I have ever loved an animal that much!
She provided us with 11 1/2 years of love and pleasure. All of my grandchildren loved her. She will be sorely missed. She was a constant source of pleasure to my mother-in-law during the last 3 years of her life. I hope Mom and Daisy are together again. I may never be the same from the loss of both of them.
Yeah, I'm a sentimental slob. So what? This isn't doing my depression any good at all.
