Bourbon? Bourbon. Bourbon!

I'm just finishing off the Rare Breed, so tomorrow I will go buy another bottle. What to get....hmmm...hey, it's the Kentucky Derby, so I will buy the one with the horse and jockey on top- Blantons.

Oban 14 year old single malt.

Not bourbon, but what the hey. Hope I won't be the red-headed stepchild; can always switch to 1792.

You can't go wrong with Oban.

I've never been a fan of Glenlivet, but I have a bottle of the 21 Archive, and I'm here to tell you, it's great stuff.

I'm pretty well eclectic; have Lagavulin 16, Balvenie 14 (Caribbean cask), Balvenie 12 (sherry cask), and my wife bought me a bottle of Glenfiddich 21 year old when I retired in February, which I keep for special occasions e.g. when she retired end of last month. Oh, and the Oban.

That Glenfiddich 21 is amazing; I think it may be smoother than the Balvenie 21 she brought back from her last Caribbean cruise. No duties or taxes. Great stuff when you're not in the mood for smoke or peat.

I usually drink Highland Park. I like the Balvenie Carribean, and the Balvenie 21. I also think the Johnnie Walker Blue is pretty good. (I get a lot of scotch as gifts, lol)

I have a couple of bottles that I am saving to drink with someone that appreciates scotch- an 18 year old Port Ellen, and a Rosebank. I bought them years ago.

I've personally never known that to happen.

Oban was one of my original favorites - a habit I picked up in Wichita, where they have great restaurant called "The Scotch and Sirloin." Kansas knows what barley and cows are for.

I hope the bar is opened when I get out of work today. If not I'm sure Marshall's Pub will be open.
