I do it for peace of mind and protection of my humble abode. The bad part is that I sleep like a corpse so I wouldn't hear anything until it was too late. I keep my french doors to my bedroom locked and a buddy bar against the front door knob along with barriers to keep my windows from opening.

Growing up in St Lou taught me to always bunker down at night and even though I'm 20 miles from there now I still can't relax enough to enjoy the quiet neighborhood that I live in..

Now when GiGi lived with me I felt more secure because she's a very light sleeper and could hear mouse flatulence from a block away.

Sorry, guy, but in Madison you cannot use this phrase without a "trigger alert."

The boys fear rodents, and any reference to a "gas" is mostly likely toxic.

Fortunately the wise regents of the UW have stocked in a copious supply of hot cocoa and puppies.

(My nightstand pistol is my P238 and four magazines of Critical Defense.)

Yeah, the pants thing got to me too! How the hell do they even walk in them without having them fall to their ankles? I was thinking that maybe they would drop on his way out and he would fall down the stairs! hahahaha....

I haven't locked my front door in years. I'm not even sure where the key is anymore.

Only reason to keep a gun close is during Bear season and you hear one messing with the BBQ.
