I've been deleting the ones I don't want and downloading the ones I want back to my computer. I'm still looking for another free hosting site to store them on, anybody have any suggestions?

This site isn't that effected but jeez some others that don't have their own pic service are just a mess. Almost pointless to try to find info now.

Store and backup your photos on your computer, external drive, cloud service or thumb drive. I believe Amazon Prime members get unlimited photo storage for free. IIRC, Google offers free storage of up to 15gig and a dollar or two a month for 100gig. I use Apple iCloud 100gig 99 pennies per month. 5gig free.

I had been using PhotoBucket for posting pics on the Net. I just switched to Imgur which is free. I actually prefer the interface over PhotoBucket. Among other free alternatives are TinyPic and PostImage.
I heard that TinyPic was owned by PhotoBucket so that might be something to consider going forward.

I too used PB for many years, and have about 2K images still stored there.

After getting the hostage threat, I now use Image Shack...unlimited storage capacity, 3rd party hosting, easy to use for a paltry $4/month or $38/year. Seems reasonable for the unlimited storage and no hassles, no damn pop-ups and ads every time you log in.

Once I've downloaded my albums to Image Shack, I'll send a "bye-bye-buttface" email to the pirates at PB as I wave goodbye forever.

$400 a year.....unbelievable! PB has a new CEO, and I'm betting this entire debacle is a direct result of him in a board meeting saying something like "we've got to raise revenue and make these fools pay for what we do" or something to that effect.

Wonder how many thousands of us have bailed from their "service"?
