USCCA Magazine ...Anyone else notice this?

I'm a USCCA member and have been for three years. I like their program...no problem. I just got the new issue of "Concealed Carry" in the mail today. Did any other members out there catch the photos in the article titled "TEAMUP" pages 142-143. I was just wondering if the young lady in the photo can still hitchhike in both directions?. How do either range officers or proof-readers let this make it in to the magazine?. I've stopped a dozen people, at the range, from this painful injury. Most of us have probably done this...once. The author (Annette Doerr) of the article is suppose to be some sort of "women's expert"...how sad for women shooters.

I don't subscribe to that magazine. How about sharing the picture so we can all see?

Your hitchhiking allusion leads me to believe that she's neglecting proper muzzle discipline.

Sounds like she was pictured holding a semi-auto with her thumbs crossed instead of on the same side of the slide. Slide bite on the thumbs?

She is a right handed shooter holding her gun with the thumb of her left hand around the back strap just under the slide. I can't imagine how she could hold a gun like that so I had to try it. First, I can't get a decent grip on the gun using that grip and there's no way in hell the slide isn't going to take a piece of my thumb with it when it cycles.

Sorry guys I didn't know how to move the photo from magazine to web sight. I tried to just take a pic of the magazine page but it didn't come out well enough. But I figured some others would be USCCA members and would see it.

I saw a guy cut to the bone doing this at an indoor range a bled all over the place.

Sorry if I made a bad posting ...still new at this

Yes ...you got it. I looks to me like she's about to remove a chunk of her left thumb.
