Trijicon RMR $261 delivered

Wow!

If you ever wanted an RMR...

Cabela's has the Trijicon RMR 3.25moa and 6.5moa for $261 delivered. Never seen a price like that. I don't even have a place or it and ordered it . Heck, I'll use it on something and be able to sell it in a few years for just as much used.

Careful.... the models were marked wrong. Just had this discussion on another forum. They are the auto adj. You don't want that.

Thanks for the heads up.

I'll check it out at the club during different lighting conditions before mounting to ensure it's appropriate for the range uses I had in mind.

I'm thinking it would serve one one of my supressed Ruger pistols or maybe even a Gen2 Glock17 that I have relegated to range duty. Maybe the wife's new AR. Then move back the budget optic to the rimfire. I think she'd like a Trijicon to show off to her gal friends.

In any case, thanks again for the heads up.

Np..... its just with the auto adjust, it may be too much or not enough illumination for some.

I'm thinking it may work the best for me. At our Plinking range the Sun will pop out from behind the clouds, light up the backstop and then I can't see the red dot with my Burris FFIII. Then the clouds come back and the dot appears flared out so I adjust it back down. We'll see...

Trijicon RMR $261 delivered

Its not to say you can't crank up or down manually on the other one. Even with my Aimpoints, its important I can adjust it manually. With astigmatism, it looks like a comet. I'm able to dial it down in any light to just brighter than a pin point. Its the only way I can get rid of almost all the tail and have it less moa.

Trijicon RMR arrived today. The auto brightness works wonderfully in full or partial daylight, direct sunlight, shade and under roof. Came with both an AR riser mount and short rail mount. It's marked RM01 so I reckon this was the original model.

Perfect addition to the wife's new AR-- just pick it up and shoot, no fiddling with anything. It also fits the rifle's theme of light weight with slim profile barrel. The Primary Arms MicroDot with riser mount weighed 6.5oz. The RMR with riser mount weighs 2.8oz. So that knocks off nearly a quarter-pound. Best $200 I've spent on an optic.

Glad it worked out. I would have ordered one if if weren't for the auto function. Old eyes suck.
