Thanks Chuck. Making a sub sandwich run for supper.

Washed it down with a Foothills Brewing Co. Seeing Double IPA, 8.3%ABV.

I had to Google Mad River Rye, never heard of it before. Jeff, you've made me realize I'm in a rut, I keep buying and drinking the stuff I'm familiar with. I'm not complaining, it's good and I enjoy it but I need to expand my horizons and get a little more adventuress when I go to the liquor store.

It's fun to try different stuff. My brother lives in Vermont and sends me bottles of Vermont whisky. The Smugglers Notch whisky is kind of good.

I like having the standbys on hand, but trying new stuff is fun, and if I don't like it, I drink it anyway....lol. As I tell my wife...it's only liquor, I'm not marrying it. If it's no good, I'll still keep it around.

Home Alone

I left for work 13 hours ago and dem bastages kept me there longer than I wanted to on a Friday nite.

I picked up a bottle of Stolichnaya on the way home and after breaking the seal and pouring it over just a wee bit o tea I think I'm going to enjoy the start of my weekend.

Yeah you would think so, but after working 17 hours overtime I believe the only one happy will be Uncle Sam. Being single with no deductions screws the working man.

Oh well I could be looking for a j.o.b right...

Those of us in NC would like to try a lot of different stuff, but we're constrained by what the Alcoholic Beverage Commission allows us to buy in the county-run ABC stores. Yeah, we could buy it over the net, but then there's shipping to pay as well as state tax.

One of the employees at the store I patronize calls it socialized liquor.
