My wife and me

Had a touching discussion with my wife about life and the long time we've been together.
It's not been easy. I've not been easy but we made it.
Through the loss of our only daughter, to my long hours of work and travel, we made it. Odd how you get where you're going and who you find at trails end. If you're lucky, it's who you traveled with. I was lucky.
We had our times, mostly my fault, but moments of clarity always led me back. I should have known then, there was a reason.
Huge fan of Buddy Miller and this song always reminds me of the rougher parts of the road so long ago.

Congrats to both of you, Dude. Long road looking forward, but a short road looking back.

Those of us who are fortunate to have found the right person to make the journey with know that it's not always an easy road. It takes character, commitment, and respect from both parties to work through the rough times and not take the easy way out. Congratulations and many more years of blessings to you both.

Thanks. It's been a long road. A few decades.
Many hills climbed and fences crossed.
Once in awhile, I need to remember the one that held the fence.

It's been 45 years. I kid her and call her "Awesome&Amazing Female."

But I'm really not kidding.
