You Might Be A Redneck IF

Your city's police department has to post the following:

"New Year's Eve is approaching, and the Mobile Police Department would like to remind citizens about the dangers of discharging firearms in the air during celebrations.
Bullets that are fired into the air can travel great distances and cause significant amounts of property damage to vehicles, homes and countless other items. Along with property damage, stray bullets can inflict injury or death to an unsuspecting victim."

Yes this was a serious posting from our police department. Problem is, it is a necessary post here in South Alabama!

Not necessarily a redneck problem either. I would venture to guess in the US a high % of guns fired in celebration are stolen. Rednecks would shoot something that would blow up.

Many people don't know that a bullet fired upward into the air when falling back to earth can kill, stupid is as stupid does.

Hell, they've been posting announcements like that for years around here.

Our PD didn't announce it, but we always made several arrests for misdemeanor Ordinance violations for just that thing.

I used to live in Los Angeles. Every New Years (and other holidays) you can hear rapid fire gunshots all over the city.

You can hear gunshots here in the Madison area, as well. But like I've told you guys, our bangers are so incompetent that they cannot hit anything by the testimony of our own Chief "Kumbaya" Koval.

Consider the circumstantial evidence. Think of how big a blimp is. Have you ever heard of a Goodyear Blimp being shot down over Madison? Of course not!

I think our wannabees are better with rocks than Glocks...

The problem, Elfie, is that most of the inbreeders doing the shooting lack the education to understand what the police chief wrote.

From behind the Orange Curtain, we might hear a few firecrackers early in the evening. When midnight rolls around, the dogs will probably jump on the bed, I'll wake to the sound of a few fireworks, and then fall back asleep.
