Mystery Part

Background, I did not breakdown this pistol when I bought it. I did that on purpose, wanted to check function. I did lube it with BreakFree, it has been to the range several times. It is a Colt Commander 9mm, when I removed the slide assembly today this little round disk fell out onto my cleaning pad. Seems to be metal, smaller than a pencil eraser but close in size. Don't see anything it could have came off of. Must have been in there from factory.
No big deal what it is, I was just wandering.
Not had any malfunctions with this pistol.

Some kind of manufacturing material (gremlins). Looks like it got blued too. Made it's way through all of the assembly and inspection process. Then out the door to you.

That's the secondary seal for a left handed kanuttion valve, it keeps the harmonic waves produced by the risidual magnetic field from the main spring from disrupting the travel of the bullet down the last 1/2 of the barrel.

What's not to understand, it's basic physics.

Probably from when they machined in the mag release. Definitely a drilling or milling tag. Surprised it even got through the blueing stage.
