Question What Guns Do You Regret Letting Go??

I have never really made an accounting of the long and distinguished list of pistols and revolvers that I have let get away from me, over the years. Some even more than once!! I have been a gun trader for more years than I care to speak of. Here is my long, sad list. This is still probably not all of them, but here goes:

- 2 blued 4" Ruger Security Sixes .357 Magnum
- 1 stainless 4" Ruger Security Six .357 Magnum
- 2 stainless 4" Ruger Security Six heavy barrel Border Patrol Models .357 Magnum.
- 2 stainless 6" Ruger Security Sixes .357 Magnum
- 1 stainless 4 5/8" Ruger Blackhawk .357 Magnum
- 1 blued 4 5/8" Ruger Blackhawk .41 Magnum
- 1 blued 7 1/2" Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Magnum (owned twice)
- 1 stainless/Armaloyed 6" Cougar (stainless Ruger Security Six frame with an Armaloyed Colt's Python barrel .357 Magnum Davis Customs
- 1 blued 4" Smith and Wesson Model 15 .38 Spl Combat Masterpiece--Marked U.S. Navy. (My father-in-law carried one like it during WWII.)
- 2 blued 4" Smith and Wesson Model 19 .357 Combat Magnum
- 1 blued 2.5" Smith and Wesson Model 19 .357 Combat Magnum
- 1 stainless 2.5" Smith and Wesson Model 66 .357 Combat Magnum
- 1 stainless 6" Smith and Wesson Model 66 .357 combat Magnum
- 1 blued 6" Smith and Wesson Model 57 .41 Magnum
- 1 stainless 6" Smith and Wesson Model 629 .44 Magnum
- 1 stainless 5" Ruger Redhawk .44 Magnum
- 1 Blued scoped 10" Thompson/Center .44 Magnum
- 1 stainless 6" Smith and Wesson Model 624 .44 Spl.
- 1 blued 4 " Taurus Model 441 .44 Spl.
- 1 stainless 3" Smith and Wesson Model 696 .44 Spl.
- 1 parkerized 5" Colt's Government Model 1911 .45 ACP--Marked U.S. Property
- 1 blued 4" Smith and Wesson Model 39 9mm
- 1 blued 4" Smith and Wesson Model 59 9mm
- 1 blued 3.8" Beretta Model 84 .380 ACP
- 1 blued 4" Dae Woo Model DH40 .40 S&W
- 1 blued 4.6" Browning Hi Power .40S&W
- 1 stainless 2 3/4" Ruger Speed Six .38 Spl
- 1 blued 2" Smith and Wesson Model 10 .38 Spl
- 1 grey 2" Taurus Total Titanium .357 Magnum
- 1 blued 2 3/4" Ruger LCP .380 ACP
- 1 blued 3.2" Taurus Model 740 Slim .40 S&W
- 1 blued 4" Colt's Python .357 Magnum
- 1 blued 4" Colt's Police Positive .38 Spl (owned twice)
- 1 stainless 6" Colt's Anaconda .44 Magnum
- 1 blued 4" Ruger Mark I .22 LR
- 1 stainless 6" Ruger Mark II bull barrel .22 LR
- 1 blued 4" High Standard Sentinel .22 LR (My first handgun. My wife had to buy it because I wasn't old enough!! I was 20, she was 21.)
- 1 blued 5 1/2" Hawes Western Marshal .22 LR
- 1 blued 2" FIE Arminius Titan Tiger .38 Spl (WORST POS GUN THAT I HAVE EVER OWNED!!!)

That is it, as far as my feeble mind remembers. I'm sure there were more. Like I said, I was a horse trader when it came to guns!! I got the worst end of most trades. But look at the fun I had with all those guns!!! That is 42 guns!!! Which do I want back, still? The Ruger Security Six Border Patrol Models and the Cougar!!

Now tell me your sad stories!!!

None, zero, I've got all my grandfathers, fathers and my guns, we've never sold or traded a gun. I have passed a few down to my son and grandsons but they're all still in the family.

Colt Commander .45, satin nickel
Colt Huntsman .22
Ruger Super Blackhawk 10" Target
too many S&Ws to list

Had a Colt Python that I had $130.00 in ... traded it for a NIB Redhawk ... traded that for the Kimber Custom Classic 1911 I have now. But I'd like to have the Python back.

I have bought and traded/sold over 200 guns and don't regret parting with any of them since they all can be repurchased. How many people do you know that has shot that many models of guns ?? I keep the ones that are closest to my heart and won't part with any of them.

Thirty or so years ago I was in a buying/trading phase, my inventory stayed the same for a long time. I had not sold any guns until last month, then I sold the Sapphire Pro but I don't regret that sale one bit. It made a very happy camper lady in Atlanta. Can't remember seeing anyone more excited to buy a pistol. Oh, easiest sale I ever made! lol
