Military Parade Fourth of July

What do you think about the Donald's idea of having a Fourth of July military parade in Washington DC?
I love a parade.

Let them lock and load and they would not need any other security.

Iím thinking the VA could use some that money or any number or infrastructure projects. While I love a good celebration, I think the private sector has that handled. Thereís no need to fund it with tax dollars. I guess Iím just a little financially conservative.

Since it's only going to cost around $10-12 million, I suggest taking that amount away from the $1.5 BILLION that we give Pakistan each year.

I'd rather see the parade held in Pyongyang.

Speaking from personal experience, I sure didn't like military parades. While the average civilians may enjoy them and think they look pretty, they are a pain in the ass to get ready for. You drill and get ready, then they change the whole plan on the day of the parade (and we looked like we didn't know what we were doing), and there's the "Hurry up and Wait" part.

I'll watch it and probably like it, just as long as I don't have to march in it!

I heard on one news show that the military leadership said, "Thanks, but no thanks ... we're kind of busy"

I could see a nice military presence in a 4th of July parade but a full scale military parade seems a little more like "sabre rattling" than honoring the military ... but I'm a little on fence on this. What scale at what price? ... just curious.
