Inside The Army's Spectacular Hidden Treasure Room

Remember that ending scene out of Indiana Jones where the Ark of the Covenant is boxed up and wheeled through an endless government warehouse?....Did you know that that place actually exists ??

It is located 30 minutes outside Washington, D.C., at Fort Belvoir in Virginia. The building itself is very nondescript, but behind a series of highly alarmed doors and long cement camera-laden hallways is the highly sophisticated, climate-controlled treasure room where the Army keeps its most precious artifacts.

Very interesting, It was nice knowing you Marshall, but now that you shared that link you probably be visited by some people wearing black suits and sunglasses.
We all know that the goberment hides a lot from the public. They'll deny it and then say it's for national security.
I know when I served I saw a ton of things that I'm not sure what they were and I don't want to know what they were or want talk about them.
I don't people following me or listening to conversation any more than they already do.

Wow the collection of weaponry! Do you think the government was able to get first off the assembly line for their collection?

Someone did a show on this a number of years ago. I want to say it was 60 minutes but I'm not sure, I'd love to be able to visit it.

A groundbreaking was in 2016 for the National Army Museum and it's expected to open in 2019.
