Sicario...WTH is Del Torro doing?

Anyone seen the trailer for Sicario? What is Del Torro doing with that crazy two had shooting deal? He has the pistol in his right hand, then uses his left finger to pull the trigger really fast. WTH is that?

Ha! This is an old "rapid fire" trick. You can actually move your "fast twitch" arm muscles faster than you can ever move your trigger finger.

No control unless you're really close. But you can dump a full mag in a couple of seconds. I've done this many times with both center fire autos and Ruger .22s. It really wakes up the range ...lol.

The way to do it is to hold your gun in your "weak hand" and use your "strong hand" trigger finger to work the trigger back as quickly as you can, using wrist/arm muscles to move your whole hand back and forth. It's easy to do once you get the hang of it. It sounds like full auto, but pounds the s#!+ out of you gun.

I don't recommend doing this a lot as it's probably not really good for your gun. But hey, lots of fun things aren't all that good for you. Believe it or not, an old friend, my lawyer and a former FBI agent taught me how to do this. A truly good guy that could tell some amazing stories ... no longer with us ... RIP.

You should see how fast my Ruger 10/22 Bench rifle, with it's 1.5lb trigger, can go through a 15 round mag.

Cool. Never seen that before. Thought it was some typical Hollywood BS gunplay. Never even seen it in a movie before.

Yup it pretty much is BS kinda of gunplay ... but it's fun anyway. I've never seen this in a movie before either. I swear I broke out laughing when I saw this promo on TV the other night. I knew exactly what he was doing. Only time I've seen this done was my friend do it and me. But then we're both a little off center.

I love BDT and can't wait for this movie to come ... my kind of flick.

Doing that at the range I use would get me escorted to the door about the same time the mag was empty.

Ha!! ... and rightfully so. Can you imagine doing that on an indoor range? Our local outdoor range is "open to the public" and has no ROs. Not something to do on a busy range day.

Only in Hollwood does this kind of fiction prevail. Wait, Hollywood California. What does that tell you?
