What Was Your First And Last Concert

I would assume that most of us listen to music and maybe even some of you listen to different types like myself.

I was a metalhead/hard rock listener in the 80's and to this day I will sing into my bottle of beer when the song "Wanted dead or alive" by Bon Jovi comes on the jukebox at the pub......

So the question is-----What was the first and last concert that you went to and what year was it ??

Rod Stewart: Springfield. MA. 1970+/-
Jethro Thull: Frankfurt, Germany 1972
Eagles: Glen Helen, Ca 1994 (missed it) still kicking myself
My wife is the real music lover and the two concerts I went to were with her, at the time of the Eagles reunion we were divorced so I didn't go. But she's seen everybody from Janice Joplin, Joe Cocker you name it she's been there she even went to Woodstock before we were married.
Just a couple of years ago she went and saw Paul McCartney in Missoula Montana with her girlfriend. I don't particularly like crowds and pay all that money to make them rich when I can hear them on the radio. I just don't get it.
I ain't doing it.

I believe that mine was a Rod Stewart concert in 1978 at the old Arena and my last was an Ozzie Osbourne at the Scottrade Center in 2011.

The next will be next month when my boyz from Ireland {U2} come to the Lou to play at the Scottrade Center.

The Eagles was one of my favorite concerts that I ever went to. It was their Long Road Out of Eden tour back in Sept 2008 here in the Lou at the Scottrade Center.

I thought about going to their concert last month, but not having Glenn Frey around any longer just wasn't appealing to me.

Through the haze.....

First, not really sure, it's all a blur really, but I remember it was at The Avalon Ballroom, and I'm almost certain it was Janus and Big Brother and The Holding Co. (1968-69)

Too many to remember inbetween...Winterland, Fillmore West, Bezerkly Community Theater, The Avalon Ballroom all right after I returned 'back to the World' in 1968, built my first Harley chopper till bailing from the Bay for good in '72. Saw the Stones twice, was at the famed Altamont "event" in Dec. '69 (Angles/Stones), Zepplin three times, and too many great bands to remember during almost a five year period there.

BUT, I sure remember the last concert... Pink Floyd at the B.C. Palace in the late '90's. Possibly the very best of all; what a show!
