40 Round Pmags?

Is anyone using 40 round Pmags? Have you had any problems with them. I've always read/heard the internet stories that the 30 & 40 round magazines will have problems.
I have some 20 and 30 round Pmags but to be honest I have not had a chance to fire enough rounds thru them to say 100% they are reliable.

The latest ad from apps has 10pack bundle of 40round Pmags on sell from Brownells about 15 bucks apiece, not bad for 40 rounds if they function 100%.

I keep two loaded for home defense. Not that I will ever need it but if I can't eliminate the threat with 80 rounds of 556 after running out of my pistols. Then Red Dawn has become a true story instead of just a movie I have never had a problem with mine. If you can split the 10 pack deal with someone, then I would do it as I don't think you will use them very often and probably only want about 4 or 5 as I prefer my 20 rounders the most.

Can’t say on the 40’s but I do have a few dozen of the 30’s and have never had a single problem with them

Thanks, I didn't do any price checking yet, was still in the thinking stage.

they may be long if you shoot with a short bipod

Like DaVinci said, they are great for home defense but I myself use 10 & 20 round mags since I use my bipod on my AR. 30 & 40 round mags dont clear the bench sadly. But as for Pmags themselves, I've never had a single issue with them.

The 10,20 and 30s always work fine for me. I never tried a 40 rounder. As already stated the 10 and 20 round mags work better with a 6”-9” bipod.

I've never had problems with PMAG's, although my experience with 40 rounders is limited. I think they're "too much." There comes a point where more ammo just turns your nice-handling rifle into an overweight pig. Think Maria Sharapova in a match against Rosie O'Donnell.
