You can tell an old biker by his jeans.

Obviously, I'm most comfortable dressing in the same rags I did when I was fourteen, and it drives my wife nuts.

However, I've noticed that bikers pretty much all relax in the same crappy ready-for-Goodwill clothes we all enjoy.

Yeah, I've sold my bikes--the clothes, I kept. Watch for these three things.

1). A real biker has had his wallet chain smack him in the butt so often it's eating its way through his pocket.

2). Despite forward pegs, real bikers take corners at high speed and drag their cuffs.

3). And finally, he's carried a weapon since before you were born.

...the vintage "jean" market is huge in LA and bigger in Europe. I'll bet a collection of stuff from your club could fetch a nice bit of coin for your favorite charity??? Just a thought :-)

Never paid much attention to jeans a guy was wearing...

A Tennessee country girl in blue jeans... that'll get my attention.

The funny thing about this is that my wife said I had to use my "good jeans" if I was going to take pictures for the forum.

She didn't want to be embarrassed by me using my really crappy pair...

The embarrassing part is the unblemished clip on the Kershaw that is entirely incongruent with the rest of your ensemble. Gianni Versace would be appalled.

That was deliberate. It's a new knife, everyone here knows I just bought three of them. It's like using the newspaper date on the finished knives--it proves the picture is not recycled from ten years ago.

Besides, that little Spline has been "polished." And when I put quote marks around the word polished I mean to convey "it's fairly sharp."

I'm going to have to have that right front pocket fixed. After all these years it cannot officially be classified as a 'pocket.'

Like yourself and my father I too wear my Levi's until I can't any longer. GiGi had been telling me for at least 4 years to buy some new jeans since my two favorite pair had more holes than a golf course.

I only wear long pants in the winter and to work otherwise it's cargo shorts until the temp gets near 30. My faded jeans were my favorite to wear even though they had holes in one of the back pockets, both knees and a small hole where my twins live. Over the winter while I was at the pub I bent over to pick up a bottle cap and the noise that I heard wasn't what I wanted to hear. My jeans fabric finally gave way to 7-8 years of use and they ripped from my pecan house all the way back to my exhaust fan. We finished our bucket of beer and I walked out listening to my friends giggling at me. The wind was cold that night as I walked out to my truck and a Tom Petty song was playing in my head...."Now I'm free, free ballin. 'Yeah, I'm free ,free ballin"

The only thing worse than discarding a faithful pair of jeans is breaking in a new pair.
