Forged in Fire: Knife or Death

Anybody here watching this show? I've been a fan of Forged in Fire since the show started and I've been recording the new show Forged in Fire: Knife or Death. I finally got a chance to watch the first couple of shows today and really like it. I'm still a fan of the original show but the new one takes it to the next level. Now you can see what can be done with a knife in a timed competition.

I really like Forged In Fire but have not watched a full episode of Knife or Death yet. I’ve seen bits and pieces of it but haven’t committed to it to the point I worked the remote to TiVo it. I will based on your recommendation. Thanks

I am still loving the original and love the new one as well. I want the guys job that clears them for safety before allowing them on the course.... He gets to handle some really nice blades.....

I don't stay up that late, but there's another reason I don't watch the show.

After working on knives all day you are asking me to watch other guys work on knives all day.

I would like to get a piece of that "million folds" block of Damascus and make a nice letter opener.

Surprisingly awhile back I found my wife watching Forged in Fire? I asked her "what happened did you lose the remote?" She said no I like this show it is interesting. So we started watching them "On Demand" Comcast. Since Chuck likes it we will have to check out the new show, not watched it yet.

Wife asked if I could forge a knife? Told her no way in hell, I can't even get the kitchen knife sharp enough to slice a tomato.

No on the new show "Knife or Death" they don't work on knives, they work with them. It's a competition where they cut and chop their way through an obstacle course. The competitors bring the knife they feel is best suited to run the course. Of all the shows on TV I would think this is the one that would interest you the most.

Ahhh, I know it well.

The contest starts in a dingy saloon when suddenly some drunken idiot blasphemes and another idiot throws a chair.

Since the pool tables are in the back of such establishments serving adult beverages, the "contestants" have to draw the knife they have, and using slashes, stabs and back-cuts, weave their way through obstacles like spilled beer and chili vomit to make it to the front door before the police arrive.

The winner gets to keep his fingers and special points are awarded if the contestant can kick-start a cold panhead with just one stomp, and hit E. Washington Avenue before the first arresting officers squeal to a four-wheel drift stop.

One Vietnam vet asked me what we called this insane hand-to-hand carnage. I responded, "We call it 'Thursday night'..."
