Don't like Trump??

Don't like Trump??

If you think we'd have loved Hillary if she were elected, that would be a mistake. When the next progressive gets elected, you'll see some militant anti-gunning going on IMO. This election was a turning point for both parties and the Repubs/Conservatives have and are allowing it to pass without taking full advantage of the situation. But then, the Dems are taking advantage by very effectively tying up the POTUS and his agenda with the help of the media and especially the Never Trumpers.

If POTUS Trump would have gotten half the passes that Barry Soetoro received, he would have had outstanding success. He's done pretty well considering and anyone else would have given up in disgust! We all deserve what we get from here on out for allowing this to happen.

And good old Ben Franklin was right about "A Republic, if you can keep it"! I believe we're an election or two away from totally losing it and I blame it on Republican leadership! The Dems are sooooo much better at what they do!

Good thing is, for me, after two more elections I will most likely be a pile of ashes or close to it. Gonna try to enjoy the short time I have left as best I can and ignore all the sh*t that's going on but it will be hard for me.

Thank God, I grew up in one of the best timeframes in this country!

For the record, sadly you may not be wrong. I am shocked by the lack of moderate politics, by either side. I recall that was where we tended to be comfortable. Yes, people ran on more radical agendas, but always seemed to govern toward the middle. Those days seem long gone.

I try not to get to wrapped up in all the posturing we hear about on a daily basis. I will say that I find my self exclaiming WTF more often during the news.

I support Donald Trump as my President and appreciate his work ethic. Plus, I'll continue to back him against anyone this new socialist Democratic party decides to runs against him in 2020. MAGA

*Edit* As far as being treated fairly by the media..Trump could jump into a lion's den at a zoo, fight off a lion with his bare hands, and rescue a toddler that had fallen in. The headlines would read:

Trump steals food from kittens!!

Well, let me give you some advice from all this gray here:

The world is always going to hell in a hand-basket. That will continue.

I lived through a world ruled by a peanut farmer. He accomplished what I had been taught to be impossible. That being double digit inflation and a sagging marketplace all at the same time.

How can prices rise when stock is gathering dust on the shelves? Why, hop into your time machine and visit 1976.

After that our president got shot. Watts burned for the fourth or fifth time within my twenties. Like most of my kind (already graduated from college but stuck in crappy jobs) I gave a big "bird" to losers of my country and simply failed to join, aid or shoulder anything.

I think Alfred E. Neuman's slogan should have been changed from, "What, me worry?" to simply "Make me care." Fortunately I was hired for a remarkably lucrative position by just showing up--replete in motorcycle boots and a broken heart.

There was always someone out there to kill us. The Viet Cong had tried, the Russians were trying, Iran was smoldering and the jihadists tried to blow up the WTC (the first time and unsuccessfully in 1993).

Right after that the slime started to ooze into Dane County, and even the white collar citizens demanded the CCW law be enacted. I got mine the first 30 days of passing the State Congress.

There's a boogeyman everywhere. Just practice and carry a spare magazine. And don't worry, bangers often hit themselves (as in our first mall shooting) more than they can hit you...

Yeah, the CD rates were awesome under Carter but that was it. I voted for him once but not a second time! His on-the-job-training was over but I didn't feel obliged to give him another 4 years! I was a middle Dem with Conservative leanings but Carter and mainly Billy Blythe Clinton turned me right and Barry Soetoro turned me hard right! I'm where I am and it's where I guess I'll stay!

Chico, I'm a bit older than you. Truman was my first pres. The first one I remember was "I like Ike."

Nixon-Kennedy debate, Cuban Missile Crisis, 11/22/63, etc. etc.

But we're still here.

Yeah, I got in under Ike! My Dad almost disowned me because I voted for Nixon during a Boy Scout voting exercise during the 1960 voting year. LOL! Then, I voted for Nixon in 1972 when I was a hippy looking young man! Then, a lot of my friends were pissed off at me for daring to vote for him "Why change Dick's in the middle of a screw, vote for Nixon in '72" …..LOL! Now, I have folks who came out of the same womb as I who think I'm "ignorant" and a "racist" because I voted for Trump and didn't care for BHO's politics! I just chuckle at them and give it back to them about contradictions in their lives that I know about!

LOL, guys. I wish the kids among us could have lived during those wild and woolly days.

Got my street creds in 1979. I was arrested for CCW, and I wish the boys had a patch for that!
