A portable tool I recommend.

Recently I received a gift from my SIL, and I must admit, I didn't think much of it at the time. I was wrong.

When we leave the house, few of us have all the tools we need. For example, I have screwdrivers, a hammer and the usual emergency tools in the console of my F-150, but I do not have a drill, for example.

I might carry two switchblades, but not a wire snipper, etc.

But when things that are small get broken or simply lost, most of us have nothing--perhaps a tweezers in your wife's purse.

This is a small, foldable pliers. It looks like a stainless steel lady-bug when I first take it out of the case. It gives you the leverage you need to remove (say) broken firing pins, extractors and ejectors that might have tied up an entire previously functioning 1911.

There are +2,400 errant pieces on a Harley-Davidson, fewer on a panhead, maybe seven pieces fewer, LOL.

If I had a time machine, I'd go back to 1968 and give a teenie pliers to that roguishly handsome young biker all the redheads wanted to kill...

You're recommending this tool but you make no mention of what it's called, where to buy it or how much it cost?

I'm way ahead of you. I have a call into my SIL. I want that back info myself.

I think some bikers and shooters will like it, as I carry mine everywhere.

Info will come.

I have a unit that is almost the exact same tool. It lives in my rifle range box, and is used mostly to remove stubborn cleaning jags from Dewey cleaning rods.

Yup! That's the one! I was waiting for my SIL to finish her shift--she's an RN--and I was going to call her.

I like the price. I'm going to get a bunch of them, and stuff them with freshly polished knives and DIY guys here.

Thanks for showing the hidden knife blades, I forgot. Edges I have no problem with, it's grabbing stuff! Thanks again!--Chico

I pulled that one up, as well. Gee, I wish I would have had it at Decker's Harley-Davidson.

It looks like Amazon is the best place to look. The price is reasonable, too. About two bucks just about anywhere.

I like it.

Like any red-blooded American male I am drawn to multi-tools. I have them in varying forms from SAK to Leatherman. That said, I rarely ever use them.

Not judging the OP's tool, but for me this mini-plier falls under the heading of just another 'why not' purchase of uselessness that will end up in a drawer somewhere never to be seen again until it's time to clean out the drawers that are so full of crap ya can't find anything.

So... where can I find the best price?
