I'm going to die over not having the right pants!

As you guys know, I've "gleaned out" some of my forum choices, but I fear I jumped too soon! I did not know my very life was at stake, until I got the horrid news!

It turns out my armed and angry run into the hills after TEOTWAWKI strikes is to be stymied by my blue jeans--they are the wrong leggings for prepper survival. How was I supposed to know, I'm a polisher, not a seamstress for Edith Head!

Don't make the mistake I made! Don't walk, but run to your nearest clandestine MRE wholesaler and make sure you get your own personal "anti tick pants."

Your very survival is at stake. Levi Strauss betrayed us!

Lyme Disease is nothing to fool with! A friend and her husband were on IV antibiotics for a YEAR.

Worse, in Australia some tick carries a virus that makes you UNABLE TO EAT MEAT!! Really, you eat red meat and end up in the hospital very sick! (Weird!)

The Lone Star tick bite can make you allergic to red meat, it has been in the south and southeast USA, now it is spreading to the north.

Shave. The ticks like grabbing onto hair.

Really, anti tick pant's, you might want to reconsider rejoining that prepper forum Chico. If there's a re-entry fee I'll cover it.

Thanks for covering my back, Chuck.

I don't want to go there, but like in any forum, your old buddies might (or might not) send you some downright silly news.

Here's my take on stuff like that. I feel that "prepper oriented forums" center on how much Spam and potable water you have salted away with you gold coins. And like Mel Tappan, they buttress their homes and hide from the light.

This isn't 'survival,' it's abject fear.

Then again we have "gun and knife" guys. Ever notice how we tease each other in one breath, and then help that same guy with stoppage issues? It's a real brotherhood, and one that I feel guide us through any future and troubling times.

My thinking was that the prepper forum you came from might be better suited for threads like this.

Actually, I was going for the humor.

Our church bought out a large camping area once owned by The Girl Scouts of America. Lots of wilderness-like camping areas and vistas. But everyone checked for ticks on the way home. It was just prudent.

My assumption was that the guys here were already doing this, and didn't need an entire discussion to cypher out the logical course of action.

Besides, Chuck, I always go for the joke first...
