I Thought ‘Gay’ Was the ‘New Black’: Black Judge Refuses to Marry Same-Sex Couple

I Thought ?Gay? Was the ?New Black?: Black Judge Refuses to Marry Same-Sex Couple

Makes you wonder if some authority will take the Judge to court and fine him $135,000 for violating the gay couples Constitutional rights? If so, why not? I would think this would be an even greater assault on their Constitutional rights than refusing to bake a wedding cake.

Is the judge a racist, too?

(actually, we all should be able to refuse to cooperate with anything we choose not to.)

Any judge who refuses to honor his or her oath to uphold the US Constitution should not be a judge. Period! Find a different line of work if you can't do the job that was expected when the oath of office was taken.

The Constitution says what the US Supreme Court says that it does. No individual's religious beliefs should be able to override the rights guaranteed to the citizens of our country by out Constitution. What that judge is doing is little different than Sharia Law.

Refusing to cooperate is not the same as refusing to do the job that you are accepting a paycheck to do -- a paycheck that is paid for by the citizens. That judge should keep his religious beliefs and find a different job. He is not willing to do the job that he has sworn to do.

Exactly, can you imagine the chaos if everyone decided who they will or wont serve in all of the people who serve the public?

I typically would agree with this. But rights stop when they cross and interfere with the rights of another also protected by the Constitution. In the case of the judge he is paid by the taxpayer and not to be allow personal beliefs in the workplace and should do the service.

But private citizens should be allowed to deny services to anyone when their request goes against their protected beliefs.

So we agree on the judge but wanted to add my two cents.

And hopefully they will follow up by prosecuting all the judges and clerks who refuse and fine them all large sums of money as their penalties...LOL! Love to see that commotion.

Can't wait to see what CHANGES are coming next for the U.S.. That darn Stars & Stripes has overseen a lot of persecution of a lot of folks.....maybe a new flag with a rainbow on it would be more PC.

Angry Just Damn......

All I can say is that I am glad that my children are grown, married and gone. I do not have to explain to young children what gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender people are or what they do with each other. The United States Supreme Court has just made their activities legal, acceptable and the law of the land. At least we are politically correct now!!! Ain't it grand????
