8" gongs

Pretty much ready to take to the cabin next week.

The frame is cyclone fencing hardware. Those right angled gate adapters make it so I can take it apart when I leave there. The rubber straps work real well. Ended up using a type of carabiner clip on the bottom for quick release. Will show them after I get it all set up next week.

Also I have a magnetic stencil to paint a bulls eye design on the gongs. Should be pretty cool.

Looks good. Might want to move it away from the fence, though I just came in from painting all my plates. At least they'll look good for a little while.

Got to admit being a little scared to open this post, judging from the title.

Targets look great.

Got them all painted up & installed. Shot a couple hundred rounds at them. Wanted to do more but it was cold & rained almost everyday.

Still, turned out real cool & they are a blast to shoot.

Very nice indeed, and consider yourself very fortunate to have such a great setup at home. My humble little gong swinger is a mere pittance to your home range....good job.

One thing I've noticed in the past few years; if we shoot at reactive targets and not just paper, we tend to enjoy it more, and therefore shoot more. We always must put our firearms "on paper" to get things right, but after that, paper just doesn't cut it (for me).

Wish you lived closer.....I'd come over at least once a week and shoot with you at your place!

I love shootin' steel! I have two of these portable metal combat targets. They need only a piece of scrap 2x4s and I can take them to both of the ranges I use or out to a couple of farms where we shoot. Handy.

We have a similar set up to yours at our local range, and use 24 “ lengths of fire hose to hang them on a horizontal 2x4.
