User names, aliases or handles.

Some of your user names are pretty obvious because you use your real name. But some are quite unique and I've often wondered is there a story behind that name?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Tejun and speedydg13 like this.

OK I'll go first. "Cucamonga Kid" is my registered handle in SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) From my cowboy action shooting days in Southern California when guns were still legal there.
I was just a kid and I actually lived in Cucamonga.

OLE442 because I'm in the process of restoring a 1972 Cutlass 442, 455 with Ram Air, Turbo 400 tranny with a Hurst Dual Gate shifter, PS,PB, AC and only 47,700 actual miles on it. My brother was the second owner. I hope I get it done before I die....LOL!

Interesting. That would've been one of my first guesses but then I saw the Corvette in your driveway. So I thought you were just a prematurely aged 42-year-old. (Old for 42)

I was born and raised in South Louisiana, where being called a Coonass was accepted. Now, with all the PC crap, we are known as Cajuns. My wife (Ms Tejun) and I moved to Houston Texas when we got married when I got a job here. I don’t really consider myself a true “Texan” but we’ve been here for 26 yrs now.... sooo, I combined Texan and Cajun to come up with Tejun. Other considerations that didn’t make the cut were:

Texass (2nd Choice)
&
CoonTex

I’m big and when I was younger, if provoked (which was easy), I never backed down from a confrontation. I had a Dirty Harry attitude...make my day.

Some did, and I never went home the worse for wear. As I matured, I realized that was really not a good way to live, because I had friends who would bait people into messing with me. My friends used to say, I wouldn’t mess with the big dog.

I got a responsible job, worked with great people and transitioned into a nice, but assertive guy in my work world. Because of some jobs I’ve held, my old friends still call me big dog, so I use it on some forums, but I’m really a nice gentle guy (and old), so less confrontational, but still intolerant of people who get out of line, especially if they’re bullying women or other old people.
