Down But Not Out

Still on post surgery meds but starting to feel a little more normal. Had an interesting hospital visit better than most I guess. I live just outside of Charleston, WV (the capitol city) and there are large medical centers all over the place. I'm the last house in the city limits in my area and I'm literally 10 minutes from one and 15-20 minutes from three others. Serious medical care is always just down the street.

Fortunately for me, my regular doc hooked me up with one of the top shelf guys for my surgery. And instead of getting shoehorned into one of the big assembly line med centers I get sent to a smaller private surgical clinic. Most of the docs had tried to get their patients out and home for the holiday weekend but that didn't work out for me. I had to spend overnight on the third. Get this I was the only overnight patient on the whole floor.... just me and two night nurses. Nothing for them to do but take care of ME. Peaceful, quiet , private room one chef (a chef!) cooking just for ME. I was pretty out of it but this was the best hospital stay ever!

Home now on light duty and meds for another week or so. But I'll be out making loud noises and punching little holes in things real soon. Hope all of KT had a great holiday weekend.

Sweet! Very rare to get 5 star treatment in a hospital. Happy to hear your getting better.

If you gotta go Paul, go first class. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery and back to your normal routine.
There's a lot of threatening looking paper targets that need holes punched in them so get well soon and get to it.

That's sounds great Paul -- unlike most hospital stays!

Hope you heal up quickly and get back into action.

Best of luck in the recovery process Paul. Before you know it you'll be back to normal and stopping by the Friday night bar thread making a toast.

You lucky dog, Paulie.
Most guys have to pay extra to get a private session with two ladies dressed up as nurses.
