He had a long list of powerful people he had entertained. On suicide watch, and still had sheets to hang himself. Must have been several big guards looking the other way. What a cover up this is going to be.

Is anyone really surprised?

Maybe at the time it took to finish "task at hand."

Clintons first came to mind. That said, Epstein probably hosted a lot of other powerful people at his pedophile fantasy island over the years.

Was Epstein screwed over by the Government?

No googling on this; that's cheating.
It's a brain teaser. Your thoughts?

We know that the government does what they want. The Constitution assures that we are all afforded equal protection under the law. The double jeopardy cause of the Fifth Amendment protects us from endless persecution from the government for the same charge.

Ten years ago Epstein was charged with crimes, for which he pleaded guilty in the state court with a non-prosecution agreement from the federal lawyers. Fair and square. He served thirteen months.

Ten years later, a reporter writes an article about the earlier crimes for which Epstein was convicted. That gets people riled up all over again, so new prosecutors decide to charge him again.

Could it not be argued that Epstein was deprived of his rights, which were supposed to be protected by the Fifth Amendment, which states, "nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb?"
