I've tried all that I can afford. Currently using Walker's Razor Slim electronic muffs. If I'm shooting around a lot of loud rifles, I use plain old rubber earplugs under them. Allegedly 23 NRR, but I have to be careful to keep the volume set low.

I shoot USPSA (badly), so I have to wear something that lets me hear the buzzer and range commands.

Cuca, we've been over this countless times. Clearly, you weren't listening. No worries, I'll say it louder this time.

3M CLASSIC E-A-R PLUGS, PLUS
HOWARD LEIGHT IMPACT SOUND AMPLIFYING EAR MUFFS

When indoors, I consider both to be mandatory. Outside, I still like to wear both. But if I had to choose one over the other, it would be the 3M foam plugs.

My hearing is damaged from years of stupid. With the earplugs in and the amplifying earmuffs turned on, I can hear voices better than with nothing at all.

Son, when you've been playing hard as long as I have, it's easier to make a list of those things that are NOT damaged.

I am now amazed at how the process of kneeling down to do something and getting up takes so much time.
