The smell of fear

I had visit from a door to door salesman this morning, which is strange because I live in the country.
I learned what fear smells like today. As I opened the door the I informed that the police had been call, he was trespassing on posted property ( he had pass 2 signs to get to my door), and that by opening the gate to get to my door that he had forcibly entered my property and that I had the right to shoot him. He keep on try to talk the whole time, I reached for my gun and told him he was a dead man in 5 4 3, when I racked the slide I learned what fear smells like as started to run away.
Maybe next time he will believe the no trespassing signs he passes. Oh for the record fear smells like $hit

I wasn't paying attention to what he was selling and no I wasn't buying.

No I wasn't ready, my granddaughter spent the night so all guns not locked in the safe had to be unloaded because she has become very sneaky and getting into things lately. She knows not to touch guns but that doesn't mean she won't. 7 year olds don't always follow the rules.

No it wasn't me who crapped myself, unfortunately this not the first time I have drawn weapon because someone was trespassing. Our local police dept put out a FB post warning about some aggressive salesman in the area a couple of days ago.

Only if they're in season. Here in Texas, the season is closed for breeding from November 1st to December 31st, unless you buy the special "Amway" stamp when you get your license.
