And somehow, still less than TDS...

...over 187k new cases reported YESTERDAY. Wonder if the process of voting a few weeks ago could be a factor? I'd encourage everyone to ramp up their personal protection protocols over the next few weeks. Why not "Mask up buttercups". The Thanksgiving holiday will undoubtedly contribute to growing Ronafest numbers. I know I'll be hitting the grocery store at off peak hours and knocking off most of the shopping list today.

...it would seem that we as a people here in the US are stupid...
...we have been told what simple steps that we can do to reduce the spread of Covid19; and yet we refuse to just do it...

Clearly a factor of low-IQ in the blue tumor of the south.

The only IQ test is who knows how to read the daily charts at Worldometers and understands the actual numbers at the CDC, and who only knows how to cumguzzle the fear porn being sprayed in their faces by the legacy news media circlejerk who- strangely enough- they understand is lying to them about absolutely everything else.

Perhaps we're stupid, but we're also lazy. We want to sit home on our fat asses, wear masks, get a shot, and take some pills.

A healthy diet, plenty of rest, vigorous exercise, and fresh air are not nearly as easy, but infinitely more effective at maintaining health.

Rusty you hit the 10 circle on that comment, DEAD CENTER from way back in fact. The best offense is in fact a good defense. It's tragic there's not leadership that encourages boosting the body's natural immune system in a common sense way and taking precautions to limit the spread. It would be nice to see a change in that regard but I doubt that'll be happening in January. The FACT is many ICUs are approaching a highly critical census a number of states though. Despite what Phil's comment would suggest GA isn't on that list at the moment? We all have to play the cards we've been dealt in our own way I suppose. If anyone wants to go ahead and lick the handle of a shopping cart because they believe Rona is "fake news" that's cool. I believe in the science that supports natural selection too and can live with it as well :-)

61,000 Americans dead from the Flu in one season... I don't remember any fuss about it.

On the news yesterday there was a guy who had been diagnosed with Corona (got it on a cruise ship). Said he had a headache for a bit and cough. Felt fine now and was ready to be released from quarantine soon.
...looks like we're at 261,790 DEATHS (that's in the US) as of my search a few minutes ago :-(
That's since February btw and things ARE getting worse EVERYWHERE. I'll suggest you go ahead and take this seriously sometime soon dude. Once again, I'd encourage you to "mask up buttercup". This isn't "the flu"...

The CDC site estimate is lower than some of the recent years and shows 22,000 deaths for 2019-2020. They cite Covid-19 prevention measures as perhaps contributing to the lower than usual total.
I can understand that lots of people are skeptical about the way any of this data is amassed. I'm one of them so I get it. I'm also a realist though so denying there's a serious worsening problem with Rona isn't happening.
You're a perfect example Shootinit, you've mentioned having health issues here. Being breathed on by an inconsiderate maskless Rona carrier at the grocery store wouldn't be the best thing that could happen right? Beyond that obvious scenario, say you needed treatment for previous issues but hospital beds weren't available because the same high IQ maskless wonder spread the virus in your community with abject disregard for you health? Not a great situation either I don't think? I don't expect any of us enjoy walking through a cloud of cigarette smoke or a plume of vape nastiness. Walking through an invisible odorless cloud of an unmasked tool's exhaled respiration is potentially worse in my opinion. Hey, we're all grown and can believe what we want I guess. Personally I'm going to avoid attending the Ronafest as best as I can.
