Longmire

Has anybody watched the series "Longmire" on Netflix? My wife just got us a smart TV and we can now get Netflix and that's one series that we are binge watching now.
It's about a sheriff named Walt Longmire I forget what county but it's in Wyoming. It's modern day Wyoming but this is an old Timey Sherrif who carries, not an assault rifle, but a lever action 3030 and a 1911 with stag grips. The cool thing about him is he settles a lot of cases "out of court". If you get my drift.
Highly recommend.

Yes. We watched it back when it was first released. It was a good series with a sustainable story arc and believable actors. Was it in Wyoming? Isn't that just Baja Montana?

Last night at our Socially Proximate dinner, one of the ladies suggested we all head to Montana later in the summer. Something about the Bitta-Rut Valley, rivers, etc., etc. I could be down for that... as long at there aren't any six-gun totin' sheriffs or devious Indians looking to harsh my vibe.

You won't have any trouble as long as you stay off the reservations and don't drive around with California license plates.

The series is a very good watch. It is all based on the books about Sheriff Longmire which are written by Craig Johnson.

Another series you might enjoy is "Hell on Wheels."

I followed it when it was on TV, when it was canceled Netflix bought it and added seasons. I thought it a great show and can recommend watching it.

Good advice. My wife and I with friends are regular visitors in MT and WY, for our annual long range PD shooting adventures. Below was 'on the res' in the Havre, MT area (I made that shot....842 yds):

Our Orygun plates make us welcome, but most adjoining states, and others in proximity to CA make it clear that those folks although 'welcome', would be better off in their own state. It's become known in the NW as "Californication", and we all know why.

(Sorry to those still living in KA; I'm a long-gone refugee myself.)

Longmire: We're binging it also, now at the start of the final season. Very well done with great scenery, and finally a series many of us can truly relate to, especially those of us fortunate enough to live out west. My kind of show, and as Cuca mentioned, the fact that Walt carries a Colt 1911 .45 w/stag grips in a Galco OWB, a custom leather single mag/cuff pouch, and that aforementioned Winchester M94 .30-30 is just icing on the cake!

Now that makes me want to go grab my Winchester '92 Octagon .44 and fondle it, just 'cause.

Longmire is a good show to binge watch. Another binge worthy show is Bosch on Prime. It's about an LA detective. He carries a Kimber TLE custom.

Thoroughly enjoyed Longmire. Enjoyed Hell on Wheels, although significantly less so. I say that because we watched it more recently than Longmire, but I remember substantially less about it. We also keep up with Bosch, which is great. We binge watch everything, with the only exception being The Rookie, which might be the first show we've ever watched weekly as it's released. Since I don't know anyone who is or has watched more TV shows than us, that's saying something. I'm not sure what, but... something.
