Our Friends dinner is history

Our friends dinner is history now, and it was fun.

We started setting up on Thursday afternoon, and worked until 10pm. Friday we were back at it at 8 am. The event started at 6pm and we finally got out of there at 1am.

A great time was had by all. Lots of guns, merchandise of all sorts. Great food- prime rib, appetizers. Did I mention we have models walking around with stuff?

We raised about $40,000 net for youth shooting, wounded warriors shooting, gun safety education, and Eddie the Eagle. We gave away four Kimbers. Sadly I didn't get one, but I did get a Colt Government model, which is a decent consolation.

Now I have another project- NRA-ILA has asked me to organize some sort of political event in November. I have to figure this out, but it might be fun.

Jeff, thank you for the work and time you're putting in to help support the NRA and the shooting sports.

Yeah, but ...

I didn't get my consolation price from my Friends tickets. Hmmm, a Colt Government model would look mighty fine in my safe/hand.

Nice!!!
Sounds to me your time effort was well worth it. The money raised for all good causes. The Colt was just icing on the cake.
