Rock Island M1911 CS Tactical 9mm

A friend of mine called me this morning and wanted to know how to use Armslist to sell a gun that he purchased last week..

I asked what it was and to send me pics of it and an hour later I have a Rock Island in the stable..

He put a box through it and didn't like the caliber and wanted to sell it to buy a 40cal instead...

He bought a Kimber mag and another box of ammo and that was included in the sale...

Not too shabby for $425 and since GiGi has been wanting a 9mm, I may just give to her...

After you have given it a solid reliability and function test let us know how you feel about it. I have thought about getting a RIA 1911 because of the price, I have not shot one yet.

You are one lucky dog! Why can't I stumble into deals like that?

Good looking shooter and the price is right!

I will Tom...Heading out to the range on Sunday to see how it shoots...

This is my first all steel auto and even though the barrel is only 3.5in long, it weighs in at 36oz..{2.23} if I did the math right..

I have three Rocks, and they all function flawlessly. For the kind of money they cost, you simply cannot go wrong.

I was gonna thank you for the gift, but I prefer a Springfield Armory. Thanks anyway.

It's been in GiGi's possession since we got home from the Q in the Lou..

Come to think of it, it looks a bit like her Ultra...

That's nice, JMS. A full-sized nine can be so... plush. I have a Rock Island in .45 ACP, and it's functioning has been flawless. It just might be the best $289 I ever spent on a gun.
