Three New Guns Range Report

For the first time in my life I broke in 3 guns on the same range session...

They are the Ruger SR1911 Night Watchman 5 inch that is just an incredible gun.. I shot 98 flawless rounds out of it and started at 7 yards for the first couple of mags and hit where I aimed at ..Moved the target out to 10 and then 12 yards and the results were the same...This is my first 1911 that doesn't say "Kimber" on it and I will say that I'm very impressed with the craftsmanship and the BlackNitrade finish that is on it....At 39oz the recoil is minimal...

Next is the Beretta FS92 9mm....This was my first Beretta and my first gun that holds 15 rounds and what a joy to shoot...Once I got use to the longer trigger pull, that gun is just deadly accurate and I see why or boyz in the military carry them...I shot it at 12-15 yards and I was hitting the head of my targets, but not in the groupings that I would prefer....Weighing in at 35oz you can hardly notice any recoil..

Last but not least was the first Beretta revolver that I have ever owned and it's called the Stampede 45 colt...What attracted me to this revolver was the case hardened finish on the frame that looks like a camo color...It's shoots in single action and is just plain fun to shoot the colt caliber out of it....Even though it weighs in at 36 oz, the colt bullet gives the Beretta a little kick that I really enjoyed...

As Siskel & Ebert would say..."I give two thumbs up" on each of my newest babies...

Thanks for reading.....Marshall

Thanks for the review Marshall. Sounds like a real good day! To top it off, your Rams beat my Brownies. But, that's not real hard to do these past 10 years.

I did Chuck....

Gigi wasn't feeling good so I flew solo and the range wasn't busy at all..

Now I'm cleaning them up before cracking open the blue bottle. .

Great report brother. Not sure you could have taken 3 other guns that looked so different. Lol . Nice mix, I like all of them but especially the 1911 Ruger, very cool gun.

Nice report on your range day. Congrats on your three new guns. I am not familiar with that Ruger although they make a great gun. 45 Colts are always fun to shoot. The 92FS was an issue for me many years ago in the 96FS (.40 cal) and I agree a great gun, just real heavy to carry all day in plain clothes. I was fortunate to go through the Beretta armorer school, they are well built to last.

Nice Trio Marshall !! I have always Liked the Ruger 1911 ever since they started producing them. They have a very clean look about them. I have heard nothing but solid reviews on the Ruger 1911. My problem is I cannot buy one unless someone brings one into CA. and then do a two party transfer.
