While I agree with everything he says, I noticed that he conveniently left out the Bush Administration when he was assigning blame for not enforcing existing gun control laws. The truth of the matter is that none of these Presidential administrations has been enforcing the laws prohibiting convicted felons from possessing firearms.

LaPierre has been preaching this sermon for a good many years. The news media doesn't want to hear it, so they don't publicize it. Congress doesn't want to hear it, either, because they want to pass some new laws. It's what they do . . .

What the country needs is more prisons, and more prisons cost money. The government can't spend money it doesn't have, and it is not willing to increase taxes on the very wealthy to get that money, so don't look for a solution to this problem any time soon.

The Govt, recently gave Iran 100-150 billion $, not to build a really big bomb and kill us. They built a gas station in Afghanistan for 55 million, 100* more then it would cost anywhere else in the world. They are cranking out cold war designed fighter jets, that can't fly at night or in the rain. They spent a million $ each to train fighter's in Syria, that immediately got killed, captured, or gave up their weapons so they could walk home.

Print baby, Print!!! 0% interest, now and to infinity.

Seriously, not having money has never been an excuse that prevented our Govt. from doing something it wanted to do. It's an excuse that gets paraded around as a reason not to do something they don't want to do.

Um . . . No. The Government didn't "give" Iran anything. The Government agreed to return $150 Billion of Iran's money that it had confiscated in 1979, and that it had been holding ever since then because of the Iran hostage affair. It was a part of the agreement where Iran stopped developing nuclear weapons to return Iran's money. The money did not "belong" to the US Government, so it wasn't able to "give" it to just anybody, and it certainly wasn't taxpayer funds.

The Pentagon spent about $46 Million to train and equip 75 Syrian rebels to fight ISIS, so it wasted about $600,000 per trainee. All but 4 or 5 of them either ran away, were captured, or were killed. Kinda like the Iraqi Army that both the Bush and Obama Administrations spent billions of dollars training and equipping so that they could turn over all that US military technology to ISIS.

When we talk about the Government, we need to be more specific. It is the Congress that makes all these spending decisions, and not anybody else. Listen closely to the candidates for the 2016 Presidency. Listen to Congressional leaders. They are telling us that we can't afford Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, Women's Health Services, or anything else that might help the American public, but we've got all the money in the world for the Pentagon, the Insurance Companies, Big Oil, Big Pharma, etc., etc. Yet, these crooks get reelected year after year.

Go figure!
