We all have such high expectations of our respective college teams and their players, but we have to remember these are kids. Kids doing pretty much the same stuff we did when we were in school. Not a justification, but an attempt to tone down any potential "dumbass" comments about him. This my turn him around so that he NEVER dives drunk again. That may save his or someone else's life down the road. We'll never know.

Now, am I happy that Ohio State has to deal with this? Heck, yes.

The suspension is only for the Minnesota game and the only team of any consequence for Ohio State this year is Michigan State towards the end of their season so he will be re-instated by then.

So far. I don't wish him any ill will. I just hope he doesn't play in the MSU game.

Just kids being kids. He certainly isn't the first student athlete to drink under age and drive. And I'm sure he won't be the last. College football goes on! As a former NCAA athlete and coach, I hope he has learned a lesson. But I fear not. Time will tell.
