Luck of the Irish ??

I often wonder how I got so lucky to have never sent one of "My" 4 Kimbers back to the Mother Ship in Yonkers..

What am I doing different than the others that have posted their issues with their Kimbers ??

I do what the manual says....Clean and lube before a range trip...

I bring it back home after a flawless session and once again...clean, lube and shoot again...

I don't carry it until the prescribed 400-500 rounds, but I know in my heart that I could...

Maybe I'm one of the lucky one's, or then again....

It may be the luck of the Irish.....

Is there anyone else out there that hasn't sent one back to Yonkers ??

I've never sent one back. I have 6 or 7 of them and they've all been great.

I have a number of Kimbers that I've bought both new and used and I've only had one that I've had to return to the factory.

Of the four we have purchased I had to send one back to Yonkers. But that was just because the front night sight had gone dark. Not because the pistol was malfunctioning. They wouldn't send me a new front sight. IDK ??

Anyway, from a functionality stand point, all our Kimbers have been fantastic.

I have never sent a Kimber back for repair, as a matter of fact as of right now never had a malfunction.

Some new, some used, no issues...clean, lube, shoot, repeat!

I've never sent mine back for any repair work, however my Super Carry is going back tomorrow to be re-finished.Over the years it's gotten dinged up a bit and has a few wear spots from it's holster. She's been very reliable to me so I'm rewarding her with the re-finish.Plus I want her to look her best when my Ivory grips arrive.

I only have one. I was going to send it in and have a trigger job done on it, but did it myself.

Are you going with the stock colors, black slide & silver frame? JMHO but I don't think the silver frame really shows off the ivory grips very well.
