Cool Rain Stopped! Goin' Huntin'!!

After nearly three weeks of it rain almost every day, the weatherman promises some clear weather for this week. I'm heading for the woods. Got most of my stuff packed. Will finish packing tomorrow, load up an arsenal of rifles and set off to do evil things to Bambi!!

.....And when I get back........I'm gonna make JERKY!!!!

Gonna see if I can whack one with my AR. I have a DPMS Panther Arms Oracle that I have installed a Stag Arms 6.8mm Remington SPC upper on.

I have a case of Hornady 120 grain Custom SST loads that shoot into 1" at 100 yards ready and sighted in.

6.8 SPC Sight In.jpg
Center hole @ 12:00 is 20 rounds fired after the scope was adjusted to that spot. Target was set at 100 yards.

This should be interesting!! And Bill Clinton said that there was, "No sporting use for an assault rifle!!!!!" Shows what you know, Slick Willie!! Will update when I get back!!

Good luck. You could have gone coyote hunting in my back woods last night. They were yipping like mad last night, had my big guys howling along for a while.

Venison jerky is always a favorite, so remember to share (pics at least).

Do try the jerky in strips. 1/4 by 1/4 inch the length of the muscle, marinated in teriyaki. The best!
