A shocking and humbling surprise....

For many years, a core group of guys have met at our club and shot on friday mornings. A few drifted in and out but there is a loyal group. Most are guys I have worked with in various assignments of the PD. So, I show up to day set up the stage to start training on and am told wait we need to talk.

I was then presented with this:

https://www.henryrifles.com/rifles/l...ibute-edition/

The link has better photos than I can take.

I am retiring in Jan. '16 and these loyal friends and trusted backup and former SWAT partners gave me this early, saying they had to come up with something different that I would not build for my self.

It was awesome, and I was humbled greatly.

Just wanted to share as I have never seen one of these. Now to decide...aw what they hell, it has to get shot right?

Congratulations Mike and welcome to the world of retired LEOs which is a wonderful place to be. Very thoughtful gift from your friends. In my opinion, yes indeed, it needs to see some range time.

Congratulations on your retirement Sir. That is a beautiful rifle. Your years of serve is something these guys appreciate. As do myself and most all our members of the forum. The gift they've given you is a testimony to that, but I think even more important it's a testimony to the friendship you have with these guys. Good people tend to surround them self with good people. Very nice. I think you and your group of friends need to shoot it at least once. After all it can't tarnish the value, it's already priceless to you. Congratulations again. And thank you for your service.
