I, for one, think this is a great move. It will be interesting to see where the CMP prices these at, as 1 or 2 would be good collector, or project guns.

Yeah, I'm not really in the market for a new gun, but if they are priced right, I may have to order one.

It will be interesting to see them and see what they price them at. There's a CMP store here out at Camp Perry.

The rummor is $12-1500. I'll go look, but they would have to be real special for that price.

$1200 - $1500 for a used (probably abused) military surplus 1911?

If that turns out to be the price, that may explain why Obama signed the bill. Someone told him only a fool would pay that for a surplus 1911 when they could buy factory new for the same or less.

Ouch....I will pass then...I'll just pretend that the Beretta 92 that I bought new for $550 was carried by someone in the military since they do use them after all...

I hope they price them more reasonably too. As I said though, that's the rumor.
