Range bags

I am looking for some ideas or opinions on what amounts to a good range bag.

Most dedicated range bags will not hold what I want to carry. Bought a few and they simply did not work.

So I began improvising and now am unhappily using a heavy duty carpenter's tool bag. There has to be something better and I am open to ideas.

MY range bag must hold:
1. At least three guns.
2. A minimum of three hundred rounds (cased in those plastic 100 round cases.
3, Four sets of ear muffs.
4. Two pair of shooting glasses.
5. DME
6. Dosimeter
7. A bath towel
8. Several 1911 magazines.

and it should have heavy enough straps to carry the bag without breaking.

OK, give me your best ideas.

This one: MidwayUSA Competition Range Bag System

Best bag going. I've recommended it to countless people and then they recommend it. I've had mine for well over 5 years and it's still great.

I have a Midway USA Range bag. They have a couple of different models. I've had mine for quit some time. It's a real nice size, has a side zipper pouch for magazines. There are zipper pouches on every side. It also came with 2 soft pistol cases. The quality is excellent. I think I paid $40 for it. Midway USA has great customer service.

I just checked the link Gmountain provided and it went up a bit since I purchased mine. Midway is offering $15 off promo today for your first order. If you've ordered from them before I'm sure you can find someone who hasn't.

Two months ago I was where you're at, my range bag was shrinking and getting heavier by the day. I finally found the perfect bag, it will hold everything you mentioned and then some. Check out the thread, I have pictures in the beginning and the end of it.

I have to ask, why 4 sets of ear protection and only 2 sets of range glasses ???

Also, what does DME mean and what's an dosimeter ??

BTW

I have carried a Ruger range bag for years..I have had up to 5 pistols in it before and it holds 26 mags and 6 boxes of ammo..All my mags are already pre-loaded and gets a bit heavy at times for GiGi to carry..

I may eventually get a meals on wheels range bag like Chuck has if GiGi ends up tearing her rotator cuff...

Great idea, but if you only knew what I used mine for you wouldn't want to go near it...

Puts a whole new meaning to shitty ammo.....
