In the day of Barney Fife..

Was rummaging through some old drawers in the basement and found a relic.
Before all the options today for duty carry, we had this. I carried my 4" Python in it.
Made by S&W.... Sucker is still solid as a rock. Don't miss that holster. What a pain!

How about the swivel holsters? S&W and Safariland makers. And round nose lead 38cal bullets that would not penetrate much. Those were the days

John, it would be even more impressive with the Python still stuck in it! And then it would be worth a lot!

Yea, well sold it to a kid that wanted it out of the academy way back when we switched to semi auto. Who would have thought. Ugh!

We were only allowed to load gun with 38 full lead. But we carried a bunch of shiny stuff in belt.

A friend unloaded six rounds at a late 60s Pontiac from behind as it sped away from a traffic stop and not one round pierced glass or trunk or fenders. The driver had just reached out the window and emptied his gun at my friend just grazing his head, he saw it come out the window and started to duck just in time. The car was located later that night. It got us plus P's lead hollow points though.

Yep, lot of things on my list that I would love to have back or bought more of. More Python's are on that list.
