Well, it's Saturday night

No bourbon last night- we had to go out.

Tonight, though, a whole different story. I was a good husband today, and tonight I get to enjoy some Knob Creek, and kick back with the boys, on the internet, that is.

This is the time of year in Florida when there are all sorts of street festivals and art shows and outside stuff going on. We went to Vero Beach today and walked around some "vintage" fair.

Vintage is just another word for old, but not quite antique. What is really scary is "vintage" is stuff I had when I was a kid.

Remember those plaid lunch boxes? How about Matchbox cars?
Remember Mystery Date?

How about rotary phones? One step removed from antique. And do you guys remember alphabet phone prefixes? GE2-3457 or WE4-1133? How about phone operators? Does that make you feel old?

I remember all that stuff to. I wish I would have saved a few things like the erector set.,dial phones the list is endless. In high school I could buy a 65 Mustang for $500 to $700 in clean condition. I should have bought a couple dozen.

Gentleman Jack tonight and yes I remember old phone numbers our house number was SA2-2424 (SA = Sacramento) but one earlier then that was my grandparents KE 3490 (Ke = Kedzie) notice no digit after the prefix. Before we had a dial phone I would tell the operator Kedzie 3490 to call my grandparents. Who remembers the nickle box, our first phone had a box on the wall that you had to put a nickle in to make a call.

I'm on the patio slow cooking some meat and having a couple of long necks...

The sauce Brew sent us is delicious and has just the right spice to make it great...

Thanks again Brew and Slainte...

You know what else is considered vintage? This one will scare you.

Polaroid cameras.

When I got my Polaroid Swinger, I thought I was just the coolest!

I don't think you can buy Polaroid film anymore. I don't think you can by and film anymore.

You can still get Polaroid film at Walmart, Target and Amazon just to mention a few, even 35mm film is still available.

Beautiful day (65 and sunny) spent the morning at a gun show, and the afternoon new car shopping, and now I'm enjoying my second margarita.
