Apple vs FBI on Phone Encription

Apple's stand-off with the government over hacking into an iPhone used by a San Bernardino shooter has everyone from tech titans to average citizens taking sides.

I'm just wondering where you stand on this issue, no explanation or debate necessary just vote for or against Apple working to help crack the shooters phone.

I don't get what the problem is. There are 1000s of geeks at Apple that could do this. There might be 1 or 2% with the integrity to refuse a 100 grand and not open that phone wide open. The rest of the 99% are praying for the phone call.

What's the difference between opening up that one phone and collecting all the finger prints and DNA samples from their apartment? I don't see a problem.

My understanding is that there is no key and they want Apple to create one in the privacy of their labs and open this guys phone. I'm just curious what kind of information could be on the general public's phones that people are worried about getting exposed?
