Other hobbies

I guess everyone here has other hobbies other than guns. One of mine has always been an interest in cars. I find guns a less expensive hobby though LOL.

I think a lot of young people find it strange that an old man like me shows up at the drag strip. Every where I go people just seem to be getting younger.

I bought a Purple car just to have a little fun with it. I enjoy stretching it's legs from time to time on the Drag strip and occasionally a road course. Another old man (my boss) met at the drag strip right after I bought my car. He has an SS Camaro against my SRT8 Challenger. Mine was stock, his had a few mods. His son video'd our first race. I did nothing but wheel spin and my ET was about a second slower than I usually run now but tell me this...doesn't it look like he was asleep on the starting line? That's what you get when old men start racing bahahaha.

Nice video, 5.
I had to laugh at the start. Are you sure you didn't slip a qualude into the other driver's coffee? Let's see some close-up pictures.

Here's a picture of my wife and her car back in December. The picture was taken on Sunday after her first show--and she even brought home a trophy. Her mom bought the car new in 1964, and my wife got it in 1977. She began the restoration in the late 80's, and got it finished the evening before the show.

Your boss was passed out, not just asleep! Always loved the Mopars!

I have a 70 Cuda' that I bought in 1974. My big Chrysler Aspen has a 5.7 Hemi, runs pretty good for a big SUV.

Back in 1967 Car Craft magazine designed and built a car over a period of months and I thought what the hell, I'll just follow their build and do what they do. Like following a recipe to bake a cake only with nuts, bolts and car parts. Here's a copy of the cover of the first magazine in the series.
