The Ultra Elite was introduced in 1999, Kimber produced 1750 of them. The gun eventually went on to become the Ultra CDP in 2000. In 2002 there was a small run of 600 guns know as the Ultra CDP Elite II.

There is one down the road from me with dead sights. Any idea what the KUE value might be in 'good' condition?

No idea, I don't know if it will help or not but the MSRP on the gun in 1999 was $1085.00.

hmm....If it's LNIB, I think msrp minus sight replacement expense would be a good starting point.

Most used guns I've come across locally have less then 50 rounds through them. I've bought a couple that included the half of the original box of ammo they bought with the gun that they never shot. Kimber says that the average life of one of their guns should be 50,000 rounds, I have one that has over 20,000 rounds through it and if you shot it you'd never know it. If it's actually like NIB I'd make an initial offer of $750 and maybe go to $900 depending on it's actual condition and how much I wanted it.

Yep, start low you can always go up.

Tinman, I am sure we would all love to see pics of that Elite after you buy it!
